Trash The Dress

Sep 11

Trash the dress, is a controversial but yet trendy terminology for brides posing for non traditional photos without fearing getting their wedding gown dirty or wet.

This trend started a few years ago where the “grandfather” of TTD, Master John Micheal Cooper ( www.altf.com ) posted an image of a bride on fire on a photographer’s forum that we hang out at. Since that first image, the trend caught on like wild fire. Photographers worldwide offer these sessions.

Interests in these sessions have led to the creation of www.trashthedress.com by Mark Eric
Trash the dress, the website, was created specifically to showcase the work of photographers doing these sessions.

There exists a divided sentiment in the general public when it comes to “Trash The Dress” Most people find it a cool thing to do, some have the bogus thought of it being ridiculous to destroy your wedding dress. And there’s a little group on the fence that find it cool to do but can’t muster up the courage to do it yet.

Most brides intellectualize the idea by saying that they’re going to get married only once and this shows loyalty to their husband that they will never need the gown again. In most cases after a “Trash The Dress” session the gown would go to the cleaners and come back as good as new. Some then store the gown but many donate it to a non profit organization “Brides Against Breast Cancer”

I’ve done a few of these sessions in the past, I’ll be officially offering these sessions as of immediately. Send me an email requesting information and I’ll be much delighted to assist you in getting some exotic images of you in your wedding gown.

Blessings,

Bryan Morris
