A few weeks ago I’ve showcased Seasen & DJ in a trash the dress session on the blog. Shayenne assisted me with this shoot as is pretty common in most cases. If you haven’t seen it click on the link above.
On our way home from this shoot Shayenne says; “I want to do a trash the dress session as well and today” As tired as I was and beaten by the sun I’ve obliged. And this was the result of it.
Shayenne just didn’t want to be left behind ,so she hopped on the bandwagon and now she’s officially trendy.
Some time soon in the near future I’ll post a slideshow of the remaining images. There are so many great shots but I have choose just 10 for this post so I randomly chose as I have so many favorites.
After editing all of the pending work that I have I’ll be posting a few shots of Shayenne’s “Trash the Dress” session. Here’s just a sneak peak of the session.
If I’m ever to give a prize for my #1 blog stalker, it would be to Janyne.
I was contacted by Janyne since November 2007 enquiring about packages to shoot her wedding July 2009. After sending her the packages, she didn’t vacillate to sign the contracts and return them to me to lock in the date.
I’ve since ever so often hear from Janyne, she either sends me a message or leave a comment on the blog.
If I’m not mistaken, it was early January that she decided that on her vacation in July this year she would want me to do a session with her and Mike.
It was an honor to shoot engagement portraits for Janyne and Mike around their favorite island Aruba. Mike is the coolest cat. Normally the guys just have enough after a couple of shots because it’s not the “macho” thing to do. I must say that Mike was a great sport, he played the whole game all the way into overtime without complaining once.
I’m a big softy and I open up very quick to people, I consider Janyne a friend even before meeting her and now that I’ve met her and Mike I must say that they are my new true friends.
Mike and Janyne, I can’t wait for next year to be part of your special day.
So now I present you Janyne aka Blogstalker# 1 and Mike aka The Young Stud……..
I usually stare clear from previously shot portraits but Janyne really wanted this shot so I obliged.
There are great schools here on the island of Aruba, but there are some that succeeds way above the other and Arco Iris Klueter School is definitely one of them. Ishaq and Naeem goes to this kindergarten.
On Friday evening they’ve had the 55 anniversary of the school and ofcourse I was there to cover this. You’ll see more of this later on in the week.
Here is one of Shayenne and Naeem giving the crazy eye. I really like how this looked.
In this high tech day and age, people are conjuring up very unique ways of proposing. I don’t know about anyone else but I enjoy every minute of this electronic age that we live in. Possibilities are endless if you really want to achieve, even a proposal!
It just fascinates me to see the creativity and the ingenuity in some people, it totally blows me away.
After you put all the thought and effort in a proposal like this, can you really be rejected?
In my post on Wedding Proposal Ideas I’ve stressed, to avoid being embarrased, make sure she would say yes especially if you’re going to make a public proposal.
Don’t even think about proposing like this even if you’re under the influence of any mind altering substance because you’ll still have to sober up to the rejection later.
The traditional first dance as man and wife is slowly becoming a thing of the past.
Brides & Grooms in this day and age are really working hard on stepping up what was preceded by their predecessors. The first dance was really swaying back and forth to the tunes of a ballad, but now……….
………this is a new era!
There are quite a few videos online I’ve chosen this one as it’s been online for just a few months but it has been seen close to two million times. Go on “Youtube” this weekend, entertain yourself and get some inspiration for your own wedding.
I just love it when a couple dare to come out of the box.
I was cleaning my camera’s sensor while my wife and kids were playing outside.
I came outside with the camera in hand and they wanted me to make a portrait of them, so here it is.
I’m debating for some time already to place a slide show of the best of 2007 weddings on the blog. I’ve been through the treacherous task of selecting images, but I was not satisfied with just a selection. So I’ve now decided that every so often I will post a few images of the weddings I did last year. Today is the day for the first one.
Meet Elizabeth Reiter and John Verderber who at the end of the ceremony was Mr & Mrs Verderber.
John seeing Elizabeth walking down the aisle for the first time.
Elizabeth making her way down the aisle on the beach smiling with John
An aerial shot of the ceremony
This is my most favorite shot, the kiss in flare ala Jessica Claire.

Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who’s the most beautiful of them all.
I want to wish you all a happy valentine’s day today and may you express your love to your loved ones more than ever today.
Valentine’s day is not about having a man or a woman (In the sexual sense) in your life. So if you don’t have that special person (That society deems special), don’t sweat it. You definitely have special people in your life. Your mom or dad, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, cousin, son or daughter so celebrate this day with them.
This day is about love it’s not only about being romantic, so you can definitely love without being romantic and still have a great time. No need to separate yourself from the crowd today, join in like everyone else because I’m sure that you’re loved by at least one person.
