It is so complex to the human mind at times how destiny is decided.

Steven met Fayth (both Americans) in Bonn, Germany in 2002. Steven was then attending Texas A&M University and Fayth Lehigh University at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. A strong friendship was born. They remained in contact for the next several years visiting each other in Texas and Pennsylvania. It wasn’t until a visit down to Texas in 2005 Fayth and Steven started dating, a few years later Steven decided that he wanted to kick up the relationship a notch so he decided no more long distance dating and moved to Pennsylvania to be of support to Fayth while she attended Dental school.

Steven proposed in August 2008 while touring vineyards in the Brandywine Area of Pennsylvania.

These guys are awesome, our first in person meeting left me knowing that this one was going to rock. I’ve approached the wedding with such a confidence that I was going to blow it out of the park, not by my efforts really, but by the flexibility and open personality of the Bride and Groom.

After a couple of shots I gave them a peak at what I was getting and Steven goes, “Man, you’re good!”. Steven, believe me it’s not totally me but the vibe that you two transcend just makes it happen. Thanks for having me and may God bless your marriage.

When things get tough (notice I said “when” ,because they will. It’s inevitable) go back to your sign in book and read what I wrote there for you.

This wedding was at the Bucuti Beach Resort with the illustrious Nashette Wouters as the wedding planner. Words fail to express the awesomeness of this lady. She really makes you feel at ease even though you’re planning a wedding from thousands of miles away. It’s always a pleasure for me to work with her.

The urban dictionary has a different definition to this word but I have a total different definition and it will be added to the dictionary in the next print. The word I’m referring to is “Sexceptional”, exceptionally sexy!

This is what you get if you don’t be shy and really enjoy each other on your wedding day. There’s very little left for me to be introduced to and if you’re so daring I’ll go for it, no problem, I’ll just chalk it up as a new experience.

Schweet, golden hour sun! Using flash here would just ruin this shot. Did I really need any flash? I don’t think so. Available light is the way to go.

Upon shooting Fayth for a while in the room, I was stunned by her teeth but never said anything. Afew days after the wedding we met and she said that she was a dentist, then all fell in place. She really has beautiful teeth.

Ikna and Eric really wanted every aspect of their wedding on the island to be documented, so documented we did. A few days before the wedding they wanted to go out and shoot some pictures. We’ve had a town and country as the wedding was going to be on the beach. This is always nice as it assist the couple in loosening up infront of the camera come wedding day.

Here are a few of the many shots that I’ve made on this day.

Chantal & Frantz

May 22

Chantal & Frantz celebrates life. Why life? Life has dealt them so much good that they have no other choice but to celebrate. They’ve purposed in their minds not to be distracted by all the negativity going on worldwide. That is already a reason to celebrate, besides they are also celebrating a combined weightloss of 110 pounds and if you think that they’re done celebrating well guess what? You’re wrong, for they are also celebrating their 3rd wedding anniversary.

Congratulations on all your accomplishments, you are  an inspiration and I’ve had a great time with you.

A few weeks ago I’ve showcased Seasen & DJ in a trash the dress session on the blog. Shayenne assisted me with this shoot as is pretty common in most cases. If you haven’t seen it click on the link above.

On our way home from this shoot Shayenne says; “I want to do a trash the dress session as well and today” As tired as I was and beaten by the sun I’ve obliged. And this was the result of it.

Shayenne just didn’t want to be left behind ,so she hopped on the bandwagon and now she’s officially trendy.

Some time soon in the near future I’ll post a slideshow of the remaining images. There are so many great shots but I have choose just 10 for this post so I randomly chose as I have so many favorites.

Blogstalker #1

Jul 15

If I’m ever to give a prize for my #1 blog stalker, it would be to Janyne.

I was contacted by Janyne since November 2007 enquiring about packages to shoot her wedding July 2009. After sending her the packages, she didn’t vacillate to sign the contracts and return them to me to lock in the date.

I’ve since ever so often hear from Janyne, she either sends me a message or leave a comment on the blog.

If I’m not mistaken, it was early January that she decided that on her vacation in July this year she would want me to do a session with her and Mike.

It was an honor to shoot engagement portraits for Janyne and Mike around their favorite island Aruba. Mike is the coolest cat. Normally the guys just have enough after a couple of shots because it’s not the “macho” thing to do. I must say that Mike was a great sport, he played the whole game all the way into overtime without complaining once.

I’m a big softy and I open up very quick to people, I consider Janyne a friend even before meeting her and now that I’ve met her and Mike I must say that they are my new true friends.

Mike and Janyne, I can’t wait for next year to be part of your special day.

So now I present you Janyne aka Blogstalker# 1 and Mike aka The Young Stud……..

I usually stare clear from previously shot portraits but Janyne really wanted this shot so I obliged.

There are great schools here on the island of Aruba, but there are some that succeeds way above the other and Arco Iris Klueter School is definitely one of them. Ishaq and Naeem goes to this kindergarten.

On Friday evening they’ve had the 55 anniversary of the school and ofcourse I was there to cover this. You’ll see more of this later on in the week.

Here is one of Shayenne and Naeem giving the crazy eye. I really like how this looked.

Geeky Wedding Proposals

Jun 27

In this high tech day and age, people are conjuring up very unique ways of proposing. I don’t know about anyone else but I enjoy every minute of this electronic age that we live in. Possibilities are endless if you really want to achieve, even a proposal!

It just fascinates me to see the creativity and the ingenuity in some people, it totally blows me away.

After you put all the thought and effort in a proposal like this, can you really be rejected?

I doubt it very much…..

Public Wedding Proposals

Jun 26

In my post on Wedding Proposal Ideas I’ve stressed, to avoid being embarrased, make sure she would say yes especially if you’re going to make a public proposal.

Here is one public proposal gone wrong.

Here’s another wedding proposal rejected in public.

Don’t even think about proposing like this even if you’re under the influence of any mind altering substance because you’ll still have to sober up to the rejection later.

This is the right way to propose in public.

Come back tomorrow for “Geeky Wedding Proposals” and there’s also a post entitled “Dumbest Proposal Ideas” for Saturday.

Blessings,

Bryan Morris
