Imara was preparing to come to Aruba for vacation when she contacted me and arranged a photo shoot. Besides being a great photo shoot, this one came with a lesson attached and I’ve decided to share this with you. I usually go into shoots with an idea more or less of what’s each client’s desire, this was not the case here. My creativity was stretched. One does not know their true potential until they like the eaglet be dropped from a height and notice that in uncertainty they are really able to soar. I’m very happy how this turned out. And I challenge you today to go out and do something you’re not perfectly comfortable with and see what the results are. I would say this is one of my best sessions and this is not all because of me but the subject is stunning, the location breathtaking and the willingness and determination of the subject is like no other. If you want beautiful images you have to hang out on a limb a little. The effort is well worth it. Aruba offers a variety of awesome backdrops but at times it will take a little effort to get to them especially if you want great images in fancy clothing or wedding dresses etc. These were taken at the Gold Mine Ruins after Imara have seen the maternity session I’ve done at this very same location. Enjoy.

Mr. Bertus did me a favor earlier this year and brought me some light modifiers and after getting them here safely I promised that I would’ve returned that favor and document his family. My schedule was a bit booked so I didn’t fulfill my promise until recently. It was a real pleasure to document Family Bertus. I’ve chosen to go to a section of the island that I haven’t shot at myself before, just in hopes of getting a different perspective of the island.
Zayenne giving the world a hug!

Ciomay, striking a pose.

Did it occur to you that I enjoy flare?

Mr and Mrs Bertus at their finest.

Zayenne and Ciomay just sitting pretty.

Love is in the air. As I see this my mind goes to the song from Paul John Young.

A different edit to my usual. I like it what do you think?

From mom to dad back to mom again.

Birds of a feather flock together. That’s what they say, right!

Just had to get some sunset action.

From the multiple family portrait requests I receive, I had the pleasure of documenting a very grounded, easy going family here in Aruba while enjoying their vacation at the Aruba Marriott Ocean Club for a week. I took them out to the eagle beach and had a blast with them for about an hour.
Family Conner On The Beach In Aruba

Kameron, a cool kid with his baby sister Abby at sunset in Aruba.

Didn’t I say this kid is cool, here he’s with his mom.

Now, this is one of the new trnds that I’ve decided to get into for this year as mentioned in a earlier post. Here you have a retro, weathered look of a portrait of Abby.

This is another version of the family portrait at sunset at the Eagle Beach Aruba.

Kameron the real surfer dude, just hangin’ loose.

Abby in a cooperative moment.

This photo will be treasured for years t come. I see this surfacing at her wedding. A real bonding moment.

Good, times!

Mom and Dad Conner on Eagle Beach!

Summer 2006 was when Eran was determined to make Kristen his wife.

Kristen went along with his wish!

They took the plunge…..

…. sealed it with a kiss!

and started on their journey of life together, hand in hand!

Out of this union came this little princess Julianna…

I was contacted by mommy a few weeks before their arrival and was informed that they were coming to Aruba and they wanted me to take a few pictures of their little bundle of joy at the beach of the Westin Aruba Resort on Palm Beach. What a bundle of joy she is, a sweet little girl loved by Mommy and Daddy. She’s no doubt Daddy’s little girl. Julianna is a little ham that loves the ocean, if you’re distracted for 1 second too long she’s no longer by your side but heading for the ocean.
Here she is showing Daddy some affection!

I’m taking the world by storm, join me on the slide!

Swoosh…..here we go!

I love mommy too!

Am I not the cutest little thing ever?

I might just be a little gymnast, I just love to swing as well in the playground at the Aruba Westin Resort on the Palm Beach in Aruba

This white sand fascinates me so, I wish I can take some home.

This is the little diva outfit that I wore to the beach to play in the sand.

And ofcourse, what do we do when were through playing in the sand, wash ourself off, right?

May God bless her and keep her.

You can probably remember the POST about the great time I’ve had last year with Family Dion. It was proven this summer that the enjoyment was mutual. Family Dion returned and with even more this time. I’m editing these images as we speak.
I’ll just leave you with a little taste of what was captured.

This is the baby of the house, Ishaq!

This is actually an awesome shot by Shayenne who doesn’t feel photography. She’ll do quite good if she tell herself she can do it.

Chantal & Frantz celebrates life. Why life? Life has dealt them so much good that they have no other choice but to celebrate. They’ve purposed in their minds not to be distracted by all the negativity going on worldwide. That is already a reason to celebrate, besides they are also celebrating a combined weightloss of 110 pounds and if you think that they’re done celebrating well guess what? You’re wrong, for they are also celebrating their 3rd wedding anniversary.
Congratulations on all your accomplishments, you are an inspiration and I’ve had a great time with you.

Chantal & Frantz having a romantic stroll on one of Aruba’s secluded beaches.

Expressing our feelings can be a challenge to us men at times but this was not the case for Frantz he was clear on where he stand.

Having fun on the beach in Aruba.

Aruba is for lovers and lovers surely love Aruba.

I call this one survivor!

Expressing his love to his wife has become second nature to Frantz, I really admire this couple.

A casual portrait of Chantal & Frantz during a conversation.

This is the famous Aruba Tree, it’s commonly called “Divi Divi Tree” but it’s not it’s a Fofoti.

This is long overdue, I’ve actually taken these a few months ago. I was debating if I should put them online or not. I’ve decided to bite the bullet. I present to you Shaydee……..

Shaydee posing in some, all this was shot in heavy backlighting, natural lighting.

Group hug!

A little change of clothing during a off camera flash experiment.
