So upon meeting the Daly family at their resort one early morning we’ve went out to the Arashi Beach area. Right away I’ve realized that they were an easy going family and the kids were good sports. Rushing to meet Family Daly, I’ve had 2 bloopers. Blooper#1 , I’ve placed everything in the car and thought that my wife put one box with my flashes in it in the car which was not so Mr Daly drove me home to get the flash and then upon getting to Arashi I’ve realized that I left over 40 GB of Flash Cards at my desk so again I had to go home and get them. Thankfully I live pretty close in the area. Mr Daly is so accommodating that he gave me his car to go and get my cards while they explore the Arashi Beach, that’s just how cool he is. Thanks again Mr Daly.

I must say on behalf of myself and my team mate Shayenne we’ve had a blast. I really didn’t feel like stopping although we were bound to a certain time limit but I just love my job and once I get into it I use my subjects merciless. I won’t stop until they have enough of me. Thankfully they allow me to abuse of the situation as it benefits them all the more. They’ll have a greater variety of shots to choose from.

The family portrait was the emphasis of the day so I’ve had different takes on it but not one of the regular same old casual way.

Now, to be honest this is my most favorite shot of this shoot. The reason for this I want to believe is the lens used here.

This is a staple of mine, I do it from time to time.

As we started I was warned by the family but it was  Sean who emphasized that he loves to make goofy faces so we made a deal that if he not make goofy faces during the shoot I will give him a chance to make a goofy face, which I did. It was not that all goofy either to be honest I really liked it.

This state of mind was not difficult for them to achieve as they are two people that exudes passion. It is very obvious how Valerie sparkles when she’s in Stephen’s presence but Stephen has his inner sexy as well, having planned this engagement from beginning to end. Asked her dad, arranged a photographer, booked a top (romantic) restaurant (Flying Fishbone), candle lit table for two at the water’s edge, toes in the sand experience under the stars explains it all. The brother’s sexy!

Stephen and Valerie met in college four years ago and in Stephen’s words “We’ve been together ever since” They love to travel, they’ve been to Aruba twice prior to this trip and love it very much so what better place for Stephen to pop the question. Valerie and Stephen, congratulations and happy planning!

Here you have her on her first birthday. The entire family singing happy birthday. I was the photographer so I couldn’t get in on the fun but I did had my Sponge Bob party hat on.  If you look closely you could also see Abhir our other family pet. He’ll get his one post with pictures soon.

May this one be filled with more than your expectations. Yeah, Yeah, I’m kind of late but that’s technically late. It has been a rough journey but it was worth every minute of it. What don’t kill you should make you stronger, stronger am I and more determined than ever.

I’ve been debating what direction I should take this business if any at all and I’ve decided that I will rise above all setbacks and turn them into setups. I’ve been wrestling with the thought of quitting for some time but the love of the art, demand of clients and the big gaping hole in the market, I’ve decided to go at it full force.

This year I will be venturing into flash photography (I’m generally an available light shooter), fashion photography (seeking models), in and out of studio and I’ll get a little into textures as well. For some this might be foreign but I promise the evolution will be enjoyed by all.

This is a product shot I’ve done in studio of a scale.

I do have quite a few portrait sessions, tips, plans to post within the coming few days. I’ve had a few ”celebrity weddings” and one celebrity portrait session that I’ve shot that I would love to display but due to the privacy of these people I cannot display them. I must say though that they were all “off the hook” events and the people (read celebrities) were nice and kind.

This year Christmas I admonish you to celebrate it different, let’s unwrap Jesus this year. We’ve been unwrapping gifts as early as we can remember on Christmas. This Christmas put the gifts aside and let’s first unwrap the gift of Christmas which is Jesus. Expose Jesus to yourself this year.

This gift is unappreciated by many but they still seek it in times of peril, some cherish it to a certain extent but display it, very few unwrap this gift and enjoy it to its full potential.

Carefully unwrap Him this Christmas and enjoy all that this gift brings. This gift brings with it, healing, love, companionship, success, shelter, deliverance, protection, guidance, security, provision, life and so much more that you might be seeking this Christmas.

This gift was sent to us close to 2000 years ago and for years we have this gift but we don’t unwrap it. You must unwrap this gift to enjoy it you can’t keep it in the wrapper and have it fulfill its purpose.

How are you going to unwrap this gift this Christmas?

When you get a gift you’re usually eager to open it and see what’s in it, which makes you vulnerable to the gift, you’re then totally open to the gift so as you open the gift it would be revealed (open) to you as well.

This Christmas make yourself vulnerable to the gift of Christmas, Jesus. Open up yourself to him. Tell him all your cares, frustrations, hurt, pain, goals, accomplishments. He says “He’s a friend that sticketh closer than a brother……….” Imagine that. He’s willing to be closer to you than your brother, your mother, father, husband, children even your pet. All you have to do is make yourself totally vulnerable to the gift of Chistmas and unwrap Him………….
